Automation and control system for pumping installations

FMJ Ingenieros offers its own automation and control system for pumping installations operating continuously or on demand. The system provides the following features:

• Up to 50% reduction in the pumps' electricity consumption
• Lower maintenance by eliminating water hammer and detecting common faults
• Safe system control with flow and pressure monitoring
• Automatic start-up of the system on product demand
• Automatic pump changeover to share the workload
• Trends and running times available on the touch screen (HMI) and through a web page

After numerous installations of our system, we estimate an average payback period of 2 to 3 years.

Optimised control system for equipment heating

Conventional control of equipment heating suffers from many problems caused by the inertia of the system: peaks, oscillations and poor energy efficiency.

To solve these problems, FMJ Ingenieros has developed its own algorithm that improves the control of equipment heating, with the following features:

• Optimised control for each piece of equipment, ready to work with multiple products and temperatures
• Elimination of temperature peaks
• Precise temperature control and elimination of oscillations
• Lower electricity consumption
• Improved quality of the products obtained (constant product temperature)
